Ten persons including two police personnel and a local scribe sustained injuries in a grenade attack on security forces’ post near Deputy Commissioner Office in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district this forenoon.
Security sources said that suspected terrorists lobbed a hand grenade towards security personnel manning security picket outside Deputy Commissioner Office in Anantnag.
They said the grenade exploded near the security post wounding policeman, traffic cop and a local video journalist besides civilians due to grenade splinters. All the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment.
No terrorist outfit has claimed responsibility so far while as a manhunt was launched to nab the attackers.
