Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has asked the youth to take advantage of several government schemes to improve their skills. Addressing an event here to mark the fourth anniversary of the Skill India Mission, Ms. Sitharaman said, youth can become highly skilled by taking advantage of the different schemes initiated by the government.
The Minister said, youth should explore their skills and get them more polished to achieve better results. Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey said, the government is promoting skill development in youth of the country. He said, a youth can help provide employment to others also, if skilled.
Information Technology Minister Ravishankar Prasad said, digital India is helping end corruption. He said, there is a need to tap new areas of opportunities and through skilled population this can be done. He said, India is walking towards becoming biggest capital of skills.
Human Resources Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said, India will continue to be a Vishwa-Guru because of its skilled force. He said, there will be tremendous opportunities in the future and therefore, there is a need for skill-development.
Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said, skill training can will help the people in securing a better livelihood and end poverty.
