Punjab Police has arrested an ISI agent on a tip-off from new cantonment area in Faridkot. He has been identified as Sukhwinder Singh Sidhu resident of village Jindra of Dharmkot in Moga district. Presently he was living in Shahbaz Nagar locality of Faridkot.

SSP Rajbachan Singh Sandhu said that Sukhwinder was working for ISI and police have recovered important documents related to Army.

SSP said that police has registered a case against him under Official Secrets Act 1923 and section 120 B of IPC. He said, the accused was produced before the duty magistrate today and the court has granted his police remand till July 5.

The SSP said, during initial interrogation, police has come to know, the accused had visited Pakistan earlier and used to send information to ISI regarding Army locations and documents.
