Srinagar, Jammu and Leh airports were closed today for civilian air traffic. Airport at Amritsar was also closed, according to airline officials. The flights from Chandigarh to Srinagar were also cancelled.

In Srinagar, an official of the Airports Authority of India told news agency, that the civilian air traffic has been suspended temporarily in view of the prevailing situation between India and Pakistan.

Some of the flights en route to Jammu, Leh and Srinagar airports have been diverted to their stations of origin. Following the flare up in the cross-LoC shelling by Pakistani troops early hours today, security forces and other establishments have been put on high .
