CBI has arrested four persons including suspended Assistant Director of Social welfare department in alleged sexual exploitation of 34 minor girls at Muzaffarpur shelter home.
Three alleged are close aid of kingpin Brajesh Thakur. The Assistant Director was in-charge of inspection of shelter home. The CBI has frozen 20 bank accounts of Brajesh Thakur besides any kind of transaction of his movable and immovable properties.
Sources said the CBI is likely to interrogate former Social Welfare Minister Manju Verma following her alleged involvement in shelter home incident.
The Supreme Court had termed as very disturbing the facts emerging from CBI’s probe into the Shelter home sexual abuse case and asked Bihar police to probe the alleged recovery of illegal arms and ammunition from the residence of former Minister Manju Verma and her husband.
