Excessive rain for last ten day has raised apprehensions of severe floods in various parts of Uttar Pradesh. According to Central Water Commission’s report, major rivers, including Ghaghra, Sharda and Sai, are flowing above the danger mark and water lavel of Ganga river is also rising continuously at many places.
East and central part of the state are badly affected from torrential rain. Death toll in rain-related incidents has reached 183 since July 1.
After conducting an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asked officials to remain on high to provide swift assistance to the needy.
