Met Department has predicted rain in North India during the next two days. Scientist in Met Department Sunita Devi said Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, western Uttar Pradesh and western Himalayan regions are expected to experience thunderstorm, rainfall and squally winds.
The national capital is reeling under a haze of dust brought by winds from Rajasthan which has raised the air pollution level to severe.
Met department said the monsoon is hovering over Maharashtra in the west and parts of Odisha, West Bengal and Assam in east and northeast India.
It said any further advance of the monsoon is unlikely during next 6-7 days due to the prevalence of a weak pattern.
