In IPL Cricket, Gautam Gambhir stepped down as captain of Delhi Daredevils today. Shreyas Iyer has replaced him in the position. Gambhir will, however, continue to be part of the team.
Gambhir, in a press conference, said, he could not handle the pressure of the job. The conference in New Delhi was also attended by franchise CEO Hemant Dua and coach Ricky Ponting. 23-year-old Shreyas Iyer is a top-order batsman and has scored two back-to-back half centuries in losing causes.
