Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu has dedicated the International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology -I Create based in Deo Dholera village near Bavla.

The organisation which nurtures entrepreneurship and offers mentoring and grooming to young entrepreneurs was Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s brainchild.

Gujarat extends a warm welcome to Mrs. Netanyahu and PM .

It has been jointly funded by the state and central governments and has incubated more than 40 start-ups till now.

According to sources, about 50 most innovative start-ups from different domains like software, IoT and product-centric firms have also been showcased at two-day Start-up fares here.

Both the leaders have viewed the journey of i-Create – which was set-up with the corpus of 100 crore rupees.

The visit assumes significance given Israel’s reputation as being the global hub for start-ups. The Israeli Prime Minister has presented Modi a special gift – the Gal-Mobile water desalinisation and purification jeep the two leaders rode at Israel’s Olga beach last year.

Meanwhile, both the Prime Ministers will visit the Centre for Excellence & Vegetables in Vadrad in Sabarkantha district later today. They will be briefed on the progress in the India Israel Agriculture Work Plan.

They will also e-inaugurate via video link the Centre for Excellence – Date Palm- in Kukama village in Kutch district.

The leaders will also address farmers at various Centres of Excellence established under the India Israel Agriculture Plan.

The leaders also witness the signing of MoU between Centre of Excellence – Vadrad and Farmer’s Producer Organization for the establishment of a Hi-Tech vegetable seedling production unit.

India and Israel have a bilateral agreement for cooperation in agriculture, which is being implemented through three-year, bilateral action plans.

Under the 2012-2015 plans, agriculture cooperation was expanded to nine states and 26 India-Israel Centres of Excellence were proposed to be established in these states.

Earlier, both the Prime Ministers had visited historic Sabarmati Ashram of Mahatma Gandhi after grand cultural roadshow.

The two leaders accompanied by Mr Netanyahu’s wife Sara tried their hand at the charkha and bonded over a round of kite flying.
