A 30-year-old law student in Rajasthan was allegedly beaten up and held captive by a minister’s sons and his friends in the state’s Alwar area on Tuesday. The accused have been charged with kidnapping and assault and investigations are underway, a senior police officer said. The accused are yet to be arrested.
Two sons of a Rajasthan minister, along with others, allegedly abducted and thrashed a man in Alwar district, police said today.
The incident occurred last evening when Surendra Bhadana and Hitesh Bhadana, sons of General Administration Department (GAD) minister Hem Singh Bhadana, along with 10 others, allegedly abducted one Tej Singh Yadav and thrashed him, they said.
“Yadav was admitted to a local hospital for treatment. He said 12 persons, including Surendra and Hitesh, abducted and thrashed him,” Vinod Samaria, SHO of the Shivaji park police station, said.
“Reasons behind the incident are not clear yet,” he said, adding that the investigation is underway.
No arrest have been made so far, Samaria said. The minister could not be approached for his comments.
