Eight Naxalites have surrendered in different parts of Gadchiroli district, in Maharashtra, which is considered as a Naxal hotbed. Addressing a press conference yesterday, Gadchiroli Superintendent of Police said, these naxalites surrendered before the District Police during the Navjeevan Campaign undertaken by the security agencies between November 19th and December 3rd.
Police said, 8 surrendered Naxalites, belonging to different outfits, were involved in many encounters and incidents of violence along with arson and looting in different parts of Gadchiroli district and neighbouring Chhattisgarh.
