The Government has said that 108 Member of Parliament are yet to adopt a village under Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. Briefing reporters in New Delhi Friday, Rural Development Minister Birender Singh said that out of 108 Members of Parliament, 55 are from west Bengal. None of the MP’s from Delhi have identified any village under the scheme. He informed, Chhattisgarh is in the top in implementation of the Scheme.
This scheme was launched 9 months ago with the objective of developing 3 model villages by each Member of Parliament by March 2019.
