A woman Naxal commander has surrendered in Karimnagar district of Telangana. Police said, Burra Bhagya alias Aruna, the Group Commander of outlawed CPI (Maoist-Leninist), was carrying a cash reward of 5 lakh rupees on her head. Police said, she worked with various groups in Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra after joining the People’s War group in 1998.

Another woman Maoist cadre surrendered before the police in Jajpur district of Odisha Friday. She has been identified as Namasi Gundua alias Sasmita.
