Uttar Pradesh reeling under severe heat wave condition

heatwaveUttar Pradesh is reeling under severe heat wave conditions. During last 24 hours mercury again jumped up in many places. In Banda maximum temperatures was recorded 47 degree Celsius. Beside Banda, at least 25 other districts of state are reeling under severe heat conditions where day temperature is hovering between 40 to 46 degree celsius.

According to met department some parts of state are also facing heat waves for last few days.

During last twenty four hours maximum day temperature in Allahabad was 46.5 degree Celsius (dc) , and Jhansi it was 45.4 degree Celsius. In Varanasi, Sultanpur and Basti , Kanpur, Orai, Hamirpur and Agra maximum temperature recorded above 44 degree Celsius.

However, state met department said that after forty eight hours some parts especially northern parts of UP might get some respite due to light rainfall or cloudy weather Scorching heat also affecting health of people specially children.

According to reports numbers of patients in hospitals have increased and cases of fever, diarrhea and other heat related problems being reported indifferent district hospitals. Keeping view of extreme heat conditions schools in several districts have already changed their timings.

Allahabad district administration has also ordered to close all schools and colleges till 20th may. At least three people lost their lives in Allahabad due to Heat strokes in last twenty four hours.
