Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given directions for increase in the number of doctors in Covid Hospitals of the state. Apart from doctors, the number of COVID beds in L2 category hospitals in all districts will also be increased.

A dedicated Covid Hospital will be established in the Famous Cancer institute of state capital Lucknow where number of Covid patients is highest in the state. Covid beds will also be increased in Hospitals of Kanpur and Varanasi districts along with Lucknow.

Chief Minister also stressed on testing of all persons residing in any containment zone of state. He has asked to increase the contract tracing. Meanwhile state capital Lucknow recorded highest number of 621 new cases in last 24 hours in state.

City has currently 7039 active Covid patients. Kanpur and Gorakhpur are other hotspots in state where more than 300 new covid cases were found. 4603 new patients have been found in state and 50 persons lost their life due to the deadly virus yesterday. Currently there are 49709 active cases in state.
