Unidentified gunmen today morning shot dead another former militant in Mandji area of Sopore town, in Baramulla district. Sources said 35 year Aijaz Ahmad Reshi was shot at around 8:30 A.M by the assailants. This is the second killing in two consecutive days and fifth in the area in past three weeks.
Nobody has claimed the responsibility of the attack so far. Meanwhile, normal life in Sopore town has been affected after instant shutdown followed today’s killing. Reports of stone pelting have also been received from the town.
