An FIR has been lodged against Bahujan Samaj Party MLC Chandra Pratap Singh Yadav in Etah district for threatening and pressurizing a Dalit rape victim in Uttar Pradesh.
According to district Senior superintendent of police S K Verma that named FIR has been lodged by the dalit women against the BSP MLC and four others under different sections of IPC in Jaithara police station of the district and investigations are on. The dalit woman who lodged FIR was a rape victim and she had filed a case against ex BSP Minister Awadpal Singh Yadav and his son for illegal detention and raped her in 2012.
Both, ex Minister of BSP and his son are now in Etah jail in different matters including this case. The rape victim claimed that the ex Minster brother and BSP MLC Chandra Pratap was forcing her for settlement and allegedly offered twenty five lakh rupees for this case. The FIR has also been registered against two unknown persons.
