The UAE has launched a fresh humanitarian assistance package for Lebanon to support those affected by the country’s ongoing crisis. Ordered by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the aid includes essential food and relief materials. It will be distributed by the UAE Aid Agency in coordination with Lebanon’s Higher Relief Council.
Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri, Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency, emphasized the nation’s commitment to delivering rapid crisis relief, including food, medicine, and shelter, while supporting long-term early recovery. Lebanese Ambassador to the UAE, Tariq Hassan Munaymina, expressed deep gratitude, praising the UAE’s historical solidarity and its consistent support for Lebanon’s stability and development. This initiative builds on previous relief efforts like the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign.
In tandem with the aid, the UAE has eased travel restrictions to the country. Starting July 7, 2026, Emirati citizens will be permitted to travel to Lebanon for the first time in several years. Travelers must register through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Twajudi service and follow safety guidelines. The decision marks a significant step forward in improving bilateral relations while ensuring citizen security.
