A TV journalist was shot dead by motorcycle-borne gunmen in Chandauli district in Uttar Pradesh Saturday night. Superintendent of Police said that 45 year old, Hemant Yadav, who worked with a local news channel, was shot at in Dheena area. The scribe was rushed to the government hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police said that Yadav’s body has been sent for post-mortem. They said, an FIR has been registered against unidentified persons at Chandauli police station following a complaint by the deceased’s wife. This is the 3rd incident of a journalist being killed in Uttar Pradesh in 4 months.
