AIADMK chief and state chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa, DMK supremo M.Karunanidhi and a host of other key leaders filed nominations today for the Assembly General Election in Tamil Nadu,. Ms. Jayalalithaa filed her papers with the Returning Officer of the RK Nagar constituency in Chennai where she is seeking re-election. Mr. Karunanidhi filed his nomination in Tiruvarur, his home constituency where he contests for the second time.
The PMK youth wing leader and former Union Minister Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss, who is projected as its chief ministerial candidate filed his papers in Penagaram seat in Dharmapuri district. Meanwhile, the Election Commission is tightening the grip on money flow ahead of the May 16 election.
