Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF), Daljit Singh Chaudhary, has announced that this year’s National Unity Day celebration will be “grand and inclusive.” Addressing a press conference here, he stated that the theme for Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) 2025 is ‘Unity in Diversity, Harmony, and the Spirit of Nation Building.’
Chaudhary highlighted the significance of the event, noting that this year’s celebration marks the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He urged citizens to actively participate in the celebrations and strengthen the unity and integrity of the nation.
National Unity Day is celebrated every year on October 31st in Ekta Nagar, Narmada district, Gujarat. The Director General confirmed that Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), including the BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB, will participate in the event.
He further added that State Police units from Assam, Tripura, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh will also take part in the ceremony. Additionally, BSF gallantry medal winners, including CRPF gallantry award recipients and heroes of ‘Operation Sindoor’, will also be part of the celebration.
