Telugu Desam deputy floor leader in the Assembly, Revanth Reddy has been questioned by the Central Investigation Unit of the Anti Corruption Bureau on Sunday evening in Hyderabad in an alleged horse trading incident in the wake of Monday’s MLC elections.
Revanth Reddy has been reportedly picked up red handed from the residence of son of a nominated MLA, Steffen while offering huge amount. According to ACB sources, the TDP MLA has offered cash to Steffen for casting his vote in favour of TDP candidate. However, the official announcement is still awaited over the issue.
Meanwhile, arrangements have been made for tomorrow’s polling to fill six vacancies in the Legislative Council from the college of MLAs. A total of seven members are contesting while TRS MLAs can elect five of its members comfortably. TRS as well as TDP and Congress have fielded their candidates for the sixth seat.
