The total Covid-19 infection has crossed three lakh 79 thousand with about six thousand new cases identified yesterday in Tamil Nadu. A little over six thousand others recovered taking the total recoveries to three lakh 19 thousand.
Meanwhile, the videos produced by the state education department are gradually gaining more popularity among school students.
In Tamil Nadu, just like in other parts of the country, the schools remain closed down, though classes are going on through online mode. The state school education department is running teaching sessions through its television arm called Kalvi TV and also through the private television channels.
After the broadcast, the videos are being uploaded on YouTube and other technology platforms. An estimate says the video lessons have witnessed more than a lakh views in a short span of time.
More than 750 videos have been uploaded so far and the number is growing by the day. During normal times online educational contents were regarded mostly as value additions. But they have started assuming far greater roles during the lockdown.
