Children of Taameer Primary School presented a vibrant cultural programme on Tuesday, at the Magadh Pustak Mela held at Gandhi Maidan, Gaya. The event was organised to encourage creativity and provide a platform to showcase the talents of students from the school, which serves children from a marginalised slum community.
Taameer Primary School is located in Iqbal Nagar, on the outskirts of Gaya city. The cultural presentation aimed to promote cultural awareness, self-confidence and teamwork among the students. Through songs, performances and creative expressions, the children impressed the audience and highlighted the transformative role of education in underprivileged communities.

Several prominent personalities attended the programme, including the local President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Gaya, Prof. Masroor Ahmad, and noted social activist Tameemuddin Humble, among others. The dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the students and praised the school for nurturing talent beyond academics.
The Coordinator of Taameer Primary School, Mr. S. Ameeruddin, has consistently emphasised the importance of cultural activities alongside the regular primary curriculum since the school’s establishment nearly two decades ago. Operating under the aegis of the Taameer Foundation, a subsidiary of JISSS, the school provides free education and has made a significant contribution to the overall development of this marginalised area of Gaya city.
