In Syria, Army has ordered rebels in Aleppo to leave the city or face inevitable death. Army spokesman Brig. Gen. Samir Suleiman said in Aleppo that Government forces would continue fighting until they restore stability and security to all neighborhoods.
He said the army has already retaken more than half the neighborhoods in eastern Aleppo, and that special forces would lead the battle in the narrow streets of the city’s historic district. The Syrian Civil Defense first responder group has said 52 civilians were killed in raids across Idlib province yesterday.
Meanwhile, the U.N. Security Council is due to vote today on a draft resolution demanding an initial seven-day truce in Aleppo, which can be renewed later.
