The Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre in Colombo is organising a three-day yoga workshop which aims to promote physical and mental well-being among the Sri Lankan Armed Forces.

The event, which is part of the 50-day prelude leading up to the International Day of Yoga, will be held in five major cities across Sri Lanka from June 12 to June 14.

The workshop will offer an opportunity for the armed forces of Sri Lanka to enhance their physical fitness, relieve stress, and cultivate a sense of inner peace. The participants will engage in a series of yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation sessions, tailored to address the specific needs and challenges faced by the military personnel.

Through this workshop, the armed forces personnel will have an opportunity to explore the transformative power of yoga, enabling them to lead healthier and more balanced lives.

A mega Yoga event will also be held on the 17th of June at the iconic Independence Square in Colombo.

The 50-day prelude which commenced on the 1st of May has already seen over 40 sessions being held all over the island nation.
