Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat has said, the security situation in Kashmir Valley recently has improved considerably and the Army is capable enough to deal with any security-related challenge across the State.
Addressing media persons on the sidelines of an Army function in Jammu on Saturday, the Army Chief said, the terror camps in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) are still intact and the Army has been dealing effectively with the attempts of infiltration from across the Line of Control (LoC).
The Army Chief further said that the enquiry into the terror attacks in Uri and Nagrota has been completed and all possible measures have been ensured that the terrorists are not able to target military establishments in Jammu and Kashmir anymore.
The Army Chief said, radicalisation in Kashmir is being addressed with a lot of seriousness. He blamed social media for the rise in radicalisation among the youth of the state.
On the challenge being faced by the government and the security agencies due to the alleged braid chopping incidents, Mr. Rawat brushed it aside said it is routine matter which the civil administration and the police would deal with.
