Different parts of India have witnessed nature fury leading to the death and destruction. While water levels of Rivers and water bodies have risen in Gujarat , Odisha reels under a flood threat owing to the incessant rainfall. However water has receded in the rivers in Assam thus bringing some relief to the people..

Life in Assam , Gujarat , Manipur , Odisha, and Uttarakhand is badly affected due to incessant rainfall resulting in floods. Assam and Odisha remain most affected by the rising water levels.

In Assam death toll due to floods has reached 61 even though the situation has improved a little bit in past 24 hours. According to the state government 1,46000 hectare of crops have been destroyed due to incessant rains which in turn has affected 5 lakh agrarian families in the state. Fields of Rice , jute , sugarcane and vegetables has witnessed maximum devastation.

Two national highways have had to bear the brunt of floods and rainfall as landslides have damaged bridges in Manipur..while Imphal-Mao national highway has been closed , the bridge on Imphal-Jiribam national highway has been destroyed badly affecting the traffic which in turn has resulted in shortage of essential commodities in Imphal.

Moderate to high rainfall is expected in Gujarat in the next two days. 9 people have lost their lives due to the floods even as many rivers are witnessing a flood situation. NDRF and airforce have saved more than 400 lives from the affected areas. Thousands are affected in Saurashtra and Kutch region too Odisha.

Odisha also reels under flood fury.NH 26 in Kalahandi has been closed. Many areas in Raigarh and Kalahandi have been flooded due to sudden rise in the water level of Nagbali and Kalyani rivers.

A rail bridge in Raigarh has been washed away even as road and communication links have been disrupted zapped due to the continuous rains. Odisha Chief Minister Navin Patnaik took stock of the situation and issued necessary directives to the officials..

Uttarakhand has also come under the flood fury with situation expected to worsen in the next 24 hours in Chamoli. Also moderate to heavy rainfall is predicted in Uttarkashi , Dehradun, Rudraprayag and Bageshwar.

Delhi too is witnessing interrupted spells of heavy rainfall. Traffic was affected in the national capital.
