Railway has decided to run duplicate of several popular Patna bound trains ahead of the Bihar Assembly polls. Railway officials said the decision was based purely on professional reasons but it goes without saying that the duplicate trains will encourage and facilitate the travel of a substantial chunk of the states migrant population to their homes to cast their votes.

A total of 131 duplicate trains will run which includes the Patna Rajdhani, Sampoorna Kranti, Shramjeevi Express and Magadh Express. These train will start operating a few days before Dussehra on October 22 and culminate before the Chhath festival on November 17.
