Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi led a nationwide fast by the Congress worker’s to protest against the ‘failures’ BJP-led government in the Centre and to promote communal harmony and peace across the country.
Leading the protest, Mr Gandhi sat on a day-long fast at Rajghat, accompanied by Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken and party workers to highlight the central government’s ‘failure’ to ensure a discussion in Parliament on key issues such as the bank scams, the CBSE paper leak, farmers distress, the dilution of the SC /ST anti-atrocities Act,the Cauvery issue and Special Category status to Andhra Pradesh.

As part of the nationwide protest, the Congress workers will hold a day-long fast at all state and district headquarters.
Meanwhile, the BJP has also announced that its MPs will observe a fast on April 12 to protest against the washout of the second half of the budget session by ‘massive’ disruption of Parliament by the Congress.
