Punjab Local Bodies Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu today alleged that the former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal diverted the funds of various Centre sponsored schemes for their own benefit.
Addressing a press conference at Chandigarh, Mr Sidhu alleged that these leaders failed to implement the schemes like Smart City, Swachh Bharat and AMRUT as the funds released by the Centre were not used for the intended purpose. He said, the Punjab government will bring a white paper on the financial position of the state in the forthcoming Assembly session in June.
