The President and Vice President have greeted the people on the eve of Easter. In his message, President Pranab Mukherjee hoped that the blessed celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ will be a time of renewal and rejuvenation, filling the hearts with new hope, peace, love and happiness. He called on people to follow the inspiring example of Jesus Christ and dedicate themselves to the service of the weak and downtrodden.
Vice President Hamid Ansari in his message said, the joyous occasion reminds people that truth always triumphs and love is stronger than hatred. He called upon people to celebrate Easter by being compassionate towards fellow human beings and by strengthening the bonds of unity and fraternity amongst all.
