Ahead of the annual India-Japan bilateral summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today called on Japanese Emperor Akihito in Tokyo and discussed on the common bonds between India and Japan and the future of Asia.

Mr Modi, who arrived in Tokyo yesterday, is holding bilateral business meet before joining Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for the bilateral summit later in the day.

Talks will include security, trade and investment, skill development and infrastructure development. Several agreements will be signed after talks between the two leaders.
