Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today inaugurated the Bangladesh Bhavan – a symbol of the cultural ties between India and Bangladesh – at Shanti Niketan.

Mr. Modi said Tagore’s teachings were still relevant in 21st Century. Mr. Modi hosted the Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He said Bangladesh and India can learn a lot of things from each other.

Prime Minister, Mr. Modi has said that both India and Bangladesh could learn a lot, particularly about life.

Delivering the convocational address at the Vishwa Bharati University in Shanti Niketan, Mr. Modi said that a new pathway could be found by both the countries if they had friendly ties and cooperate with each other.

Mr. Modi said that there is a need for young people of both the countries to come together and work towards unified goal.

He also said that an immediate and just solution to the Rohingya problem has to be addressed by both countries.

Govt will spend Rs. One Lakh Crore for improving educational institutions: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the government will spent Rs. one lakh crore for Revitalisation and Improvement of education Institutions in the country over the next four years.

He was speaking at the convocation ceremony of Visva Bharati University at Shanti Niketan, West Bengal.

Prime Minister said Higher Education Financing Agency has been created with Rs. 1,000 crore investment to provide adequate facilities to Educational institutions. This will primarily help educational institutions in High-Quality Infrastructure.

Mr. Modi said 2400 schools have been selected to set up Atal Thinkering Lab to promote innovative thinking among young students. He said Tagore’s teachings are the foundation of Vishwa Bharti.
