Talking to media Meira Kumar said that the government and opposition were still seriously discussing the issues of constituting a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on 2 G Issue. I will decided on it when the matter will come to me”, she said. She said that the decision on the terms of reference will be taken only after the issue is sorted out. The Speaker said Leaders of the all parties are keen to run parliament smoothly.
The senior BJP leader and Deputy Leader in Lok Sabha Gopinath Munde said that if government wanted to run the Parliament smoothly, they should concede the opposition’s demand of JPC on Tuesday. He said that his party will raise the issues like price rise, Commonwealth Games, Adarsh and other scams and demand the discussion on these issues.
Leader of the House in the Lok Sabha and Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee gave the assurance to opposition leaders at a meeting convened by the Speaker Meira Kumar that the government will make the announcement in the House on JPC on Tuesday when actual proceedings of the budget session start.

The budget session of Parliament begins Monday with the address by President Pratibha Devisingh Patil to a joint sitting of the two houses. The session is expected to be stormy with a big agenda of government business. The rail budget and the economic survey are to be presented on the 25th of this month and the general budget on the 28th.
