Following his high-level engagements with officials at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the Federal Chancellery on October 23, 2025, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Luxembourg, Mr. Xavier Bettel.


Review of Bilateral and Global Relations

The two leaders reviewed the progress in economic relations between India and Luxembourg and explored avenues to further strengthen bilateral trade and business ties. Their discussion also covered the upcoming State Visit to India, as well as significant regional and global developments.


Engagements with German Business Leaders

Shri Goyal also held individual discussions with CEOs from several leading German companies, underscoring India’s commitment to attracting foreign investment and technology.

The German business leaders conveyed their optimistic outlook on conducting business in India and expressed their intent to further strengthen their economic partnerships with the country.

Later in the day, Shri Goyal is scheduled to participate in a high-level panel on global trade at the Berlin Global Dialogue and will continue his interactions with German industry associations and business leaders.
