Bangladesh were 152 for 6 on the second day of the first-ever day-night Pink Test against India at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, at stumps tonight. This was in reply to India’s first innings score of 347 for 9 declared which gave the hosts a healthy lead of 241 runs.

Indian bowlers tormented Bangladesh again in the second Innings. Ishant Sharma who scalped 5 wickets in the first innings, claimed four wickets in the second innings as well. Umesh Yadav claimed two wickets.

Earlier, skipper Virat Kohli became the first Indian batsman to score a century in a day/night Test, scoring 136 off 194 balls today. This was Kohli’s 27th Test century. With this century, Kohli equalled Ricky Ponting’s record of 41 hundreds as captain in international cricket.
Bangladesh trail by 89 runs with 4 wickets remaining and India remains on course for a 12th successive series win at home tomorrow.
