Pakistan today directed its High Commission in New Delhi to issue visas to the wife and mother of Kulbhushan Jadhav. Official sources said, the directive was issued by the Foreign Ministry following its decision last week to allow Jadhav’s family to meet him on 25th of this month.
The Foreign Office sources said that adequate security measures will be taken for the complete safety of Jadhav’s family.
An Indian high commission official will be allowed to accompany Jadhav’s family during their meeting.
Meanwhile, India has said it is working on finalising the visit of mother and wife of Kulbhushan Jadhav to Pakistan.
He has been in custody of Pakistan over alleged espionage charges.
In reply to a media query in New Delhi this evening, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said, there has been no consular access to India by Pakistan to meet Mr Jadhav.
