India has said, Pakistan approaching the UN over the issue of surgical strikes in PoK has not found any resonance in the world body. India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Syed Akbaruddin said, Pakistan has approached the UN Chief and the Council over the issue of the surgical strike and Kashmir but not found any resonance as as there was no further discussion on the matter.
Rejecting the remarks of the UN mission monitoring ceasefire that it has not directly observed any firing across the LoC, Akbaruddin said the facts on the ground do not change whether somebody has acknowledges or not. He said facts are facts, and India presented the facts and that is where India stands.
India on Thursday carried out surgical strikes on seven terror launch pads across the LoC with the Army inflicting significant casualties on terrorists preparing to infiltrate from PoK.
