The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday rejected the social media claims alleging a leak, advance access, or sale of the question paper for the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination, calling the messages “false, fraudulent and misleading.”
In an official statement, the agency said such content was being circulated by organised cheating networks attempting to exploit the anxiety of students and parents through fake promises of access to examination papers.
The NTA asserted that the integrity of the examination process remains fully intact and that all safeguards are in place to ensure a fair and secure examination for candidates.
The agency said it has begun identifying and reporting offending social media channels, accounts and content to relevant digital platforms and cyber-crime authorities for immediate removal and further action.
It also announced that formal complaints are being filed with law-enforcement agencies, warning that creating, circulating or forwarding fake examination material and attempting to defraud candidates constitutes a serious punishable offence.
Advising students and parents to remain cautious, the NTA urged candidates not to engage with or make payments to any individual or group claiming access to examination material.
The agency appealed to aspirants to rely only on official announcements issued through NTA’s verified website and communication channels and to continue their preparations with confidence.
