Gurudwaras in Delhi are known for serving free good-quality food to anyone irrespective of cast or religion daily in morning and evening even in normal days.
Sikh is a community known for doing selfless charity and service for humanity with many members of the community including elite ones seen daily in normal times distributing breakfast and providing medical-services including primary bandage etc. Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) continued with the same sacrificing spirit even in lockdown-days during corona-crisis by serving hygienic food to needy irrespective of cast or religion at various outlets apart from normal langars in Gurudwaras.

Now DSGMC has offered 850 beds for corona-patients in Delhi where there are apprehensions of large number of beds for corona-patients in coming days. Such a human approach is real teaching of religion, and should be appreciated by all including concerned ones in governance (central and Delhi) to motivate other religious trusts to offer such facilities if available with them. Institutions like DSGMC should be given certificate of appreciation for becoming corona-warriors through their such selfless help to the mankind.
