Chief of Air Staff Arup Raha today emphasised early progress into Pathankot terror attack case. Talking to reporters at Jamnagar in Gujarat, Air Chief Marshal Raha said, if the government allows Special Investigation Team from Pakistan, he will have no objections on its entry into the Pathankot airbase.

Meanwhile the Government has said that charred remains, apart from four bodies of terrorists, were found at the debris after security forces searched the spot when the Pathankot airbase operation ended. Talking to reporters in New Delhi yesterday, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said the remains have been sent for forensic examination and reports are awaited. The Home Minister’s remarks came amidst the contradictory reports over number of terrorists involved in attack on Pathankot airbase.

While NSG, which carried out the operation against the terrorists, has said there were six terrorists, the NIA, which has been probing the case has maintained that they found the bodies of four terrorists and yet to come conclusive evidence about any more terrorist was involved in the attack.
