NiAIndia will send a team of NIA officials to Pakistan to carry forward the investigation in the Pathankot terror attack case. NIA officials has conveyed the plan to Pakistan Joint Investigation Team, JIT which was in India in connection with the probe of the case.

However, the dates of the NIA visit are yet to be decided. Talking to media in New Delhi, Director General of NIA Sharad Kumar said the NIA briefed the JIT on investigations in the case of the terror attack perpetrated by the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) on 2nd of January, 2016 in Pathankot.

He said, the Pakistan JIT also shared with NIA the results of their investigations in Pakistan. Mr Kumar also said, the NIA has sought voice samples of some senior operatives of JeM, and DNA sample of the mother of slain terrorist Nasir Hussain.

Mr Kumar said, the JIT was also requested to verify the various articles seized from the terrorists including arms and ammunition as mentioned in the Letter Rogatory sent earlier to Pakistan.The NIA also shared with JIT the identity and the address of the 4 terrorists and requested for confirmation.

The NIA presented the JIT with concrete evidence against the office bearers of JeM who conspired in the attack and the handlers of the terrorists who facilitated and guided them.

The Pakistan JIT was given access to 16 witnesses including SP Salwinder Singh, his cook, Rajesh Verma and some formal witnesses.The Pakistani JIT today concluded its six-day discussions with NIA on the probe into the Pathankot terror attack which arrived on Sunday.
