The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested an absconder and Nagaland Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) aide Aheto Chopey from Kohima in a joint operation with Assam Rifle.
Chopey was arrested on Thursday from Kohima in a joint operation with Assam Rifle.
Chopey, a self-styled ‘Brigadier’ of NSCN-U was wanted in connection with a case registered against him in NIA court, Dimapur.
He is accused of supplying government arms and ammunition to Naga underground factions NSCN-U and NSCN-K.
A Non-Bailable Warrant of his arrest was also issued against him.
