Director, Nehru Planetarium, Prime Ministers Museum and Library (PMML), Dr Y. Ravi Kiron, today said that the upgraded facilities at the Planetarium aim to enhance the visitor experience, encourage interest in astronomy and science, and promote a scientific temper among citizens.
Dr Kiron was speaking at a media interaction organised at the Nehru Planetarium in Teen Murti Bhawan, New Delhi, today to showcase its recently refurbished and upgraded facilities. Dr Kiron said improvements to the existing facilities and the addition of new attractions have been designed particularly to engage members of Generation Z and Generation Alpha.
Dr Kiron also participated in an interactive question-and-answer session with representatives from print and digital media. They attended a curated planetarium show, toured the displays at the Aryabhata Gallery and experienced the Planetarium’s newly introduced interactive facilities, including the Virtual Reality show. PMML Head of Media and Publicity Nazrey Hossain and other senior officials were also present on the occasion. The refurbished Nehru Planetarium is expected to offer visitors a more immersive, engaging and educational experience.
