The Congress on Thursday said that the NDA led by BJP is a parochial autocratic alliance led by the PM Narendra Modi and could never accept divergence of opinions or plurality.
Party was Reacting to the Telugu desam party pulling out its ministers from the NDA cabinet,
Addressing a press conference here in Party headquarter, the In charge of media department Randeep Singh Surjewala said ,’ all was never well within the NDA. For, a parochial autocratic alliance led by the PM Narendra Modi could never accept divergence of opinions or plurality which is the essence of India’s foundational values and the splintering of NDA that you are seeing now is only a reflection of that philosophy of PM and the BJP.’
Noting that several allies of the NDA had parted ways from it due to the philosophy of PM and the BJP, Mr Surjewala said, ‘the oldest ally of BJP – Shiv Sena – has already declared that they have no truck with BJP under Mr Narendra Modi. BJD (Biju Janata Dal) which was a long time tested ally of BJP had dumped them a while ago. Janata Dal (U) dumped them and again remarried them for the compulsions of Mr Nitish Kumar that he can only tell us and is about to dump them again.
It also reflects on-acceptance of the other opinion by the PM . TDP , which is perhaps the oldest ally of the NDA as Mr. Chandrababu Naidu used to be the Convener of NDA. He has now seen the futility of continuing in alliance which has only disrespect and humiliation for the alliance partner and which seeks to trample upon the rights of Andhra Pradesh and the solemn promise made to them at the time of division of the State of hand holding and carrying the development process in Andhra Pradesh forward along with the help of the Union Government. Drunk with power and over confidence, Modi Government has little place for those who dissent either from within or from outside and the present disintegration of NDA is a reflection of that.’
