Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu has criticised the Congress for obstructing the proceedings of Parliament on the issue of imposition of President’s rule in Uttarakhand. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, Mr Naidu said, it was the Congress at the Centre which imposed President’s rule in several States at different points of time.
He said, out of the 101 instances of President’s rule, the Congress used article 356 to impose Central rule as many as 91 times. He also said, the major opposition party is not allowing other members to raise questions on important issues in Parliament.
