In a rare gesture of communal aminty, Muslims have decided to donated land for construction of the world’s largest Hindu temple in Bihar’s East Champaran district.
The construction of the temple will commence in June at Janki Nagar in East Champaran district, about 200 km from Patna. The grand temple which will cost over Rs.500 crore will have the capacity to seat a staggering 20,000 people.
According to Acharya Kishore Kunal, the Trustee of Patna-based Mahavir Mandir Trust Muslims have not only donated land, they have also provided additional land at a nominal price for the grand Hindu temple.
‘Without help of Muslims, it would have been difficult realise this dream project,”He said.
Mahavir Mandir Trust has obtained 200 acres of land. “Hindus and Muslims have donated about 50 acres of land and the remaining has been purchased.”
