While South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) imposes fine on registered dog-owners who do not pick up their faeces from pavements or roads, it has not put any information in public domain about how they should dispose it after collecting.

It has created a big problem for dog lovers who rescue puppies from street and adopt them to give a home.

SDMC should put on website norms under section 4(1)(b) of RTI Act about disposal of faeces and other related aspects including also list of parks in each area where dog owners can take their registered pet dogs to play.
This matter requires urgent attention as it pertains to the health of a registered pet dog as members of Prime Minister Cooperative Group Housing Society in Vikaspuri (New Delhi) do not allow to collect and dispose of its faeces, and SDMC staff objects it for roads. Irony is that SDMC staff has no problem with stray dogs pooping here and there, but a rescued four month stray now owned as a pet dog is a problem for them.

Rather it should be made compulsory to get all pet dogs registered with concerned civic bodies failing which heavy fine should be imposed on dog-owners.
