Meghalaya is watchful after a 58-year-old woman, who was admitted to Nazareth Hospital in Shillong with symptoms of the H1N1 virus on the October 17, passed away on Sunday.
Meghalaya Government is fully prepared following the incident.
Health and Family Welfare Minister AL Hek told media, so far two cases of Swine flu have been detected in the city and the situation is being closely monitored by the Health Department.
The Minister also said, the Health Department is fully aware of the situation and has taken all precautions steps and measures to prevent an outbreak.
Meanwhile, Meghalaya Health Secretary Pravin Bakshi said the State has adequate Tamiflu tablets for treating H1N1.
